Democracy
0K since all this Mexican President mayhem is over, here is my input in the matter.
I personally don't believe on democracy as a concept that everybody should be as dumb as they wish to. If you are required by state law to pass some test before driving a car due the eminent damage you can cause your community otherwise, I would assume a test of the same nature for each time an election is celebrated: proving you know the candidates and their proposals. It would definitely filter out all that people that vote because they liked the shiny ad on Main street.
BUT, since Mexico government likes to play so much with their numbers (such as when counting votes, poll tendencies, etc.) I wouldn't trust it with such an advanced concept of democracy to their primitive Aristocratic system. So democracy is like capitalism: far from perfect, but its still the best next thing
That been said, let thy rants begin:
I'm disgusted as a Mexican the way that big companies can manipulate masses and even "suggest" their will over the institutions that allegedly sore to protect democracy itself. I've been bullied by my peers because even though I don't support AMLO (Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador) I do find sense in some of his complaints during this process. He and his party were the only ones trying to improve this system.
Here are the things that REALLY bother me that I need to put in print:

Here are the things that REALLY bother me that I need to put in print:
- Lots of my peers stated "but if we void the elections, chances that that crazy communist might win would become imminent". I wouldn't vote for AMLO, BUT democracy should not be traded for fear or personal gain. In a country where more than 60% is poor should be allowed to choose the ruler as they see fit, not as "me and my buds wish to."
- "Because AMLO and peers submitted the evidences, we should dismiss it because he has his own agenda." FALSE: He surely is interested in invalidating the electoral results, but that doesn't stop the fact from the evidence itself. Crimes are reporter-agnostic. It doesn't matter if 1 people or 10 people report me if I steal something, its the fact that I stole that should be judged.
- AMLO and his party didnt present enough evidences: FALSE: In Panama elections where voided because of the mere concept of unequal elections. Topics such as money laundry or links to narc weren't even suspected... but the sheer concept of unequal elections should be enough to review the process. They as citizens presented a whole bunch of evidence that truth being told not everything would be valid or trustful, but still it was the current government's responsibility to get to he bottom of this, where in fact they couldn't care less
- only 4 valid days after elections where allowed by law to submit evidence. Civilians would hardly be able to trace down money transfers and such w/o a government issue warrant and 4 days is unrealistic as it is. None the less, enough evidences where presented to generate reasonable doubt that should suffice the government and institutions to do due diligences accordingly... not acting to dismiss the issue as quick and hush as possible.
- The Soriana and Monex cases where somewhat confirmed along the road. But when it came to the final jury's stage it boiled down to: "We saw the cards, we saw the activity and you submitted a notarized vouchers of all the people who submitted these cards... but how can we know that these people where actually who they claim to be?"... isn't that the purpose of a notarized document?
- I wasn't expecting TEPJF to void the elections because of all the mafia related in the matter. However I did looked forward for to see a responsible exercise where they actually had a debate inquiring in all the submitted complains trying to expose all the recollected data. Instead they basically gave a pre-formatted speech on why the complaints should be dismissed.
- both IFE and TRIFE/TEPJF are the ones in charge to determinate if elections should be voided... but they answer to no one! who can actually judge their actions and followup with corresponding consequences? "who watches over the watchmen?"

5 Ways to Make Your Kids Hate Church
1. Make sure your faith is only something you live out in public
Go to church... at least most of the time. Make sure you agree with what you hear the preacher say, and affirm on the way home what was said especially when it has to do with your kids obeying, but let it stop there. Don’t read your Bible at home. The pastor will say everything you need to hear on Sundays. Don’t engage your children in questions they have concerning Jesus and God. Live like you want to live during the week so that your kids can see that duplicity is ok.
2. Pray only in front of people
The only times you need to pray are when your family is over, holiday meals, when someone is sick, and when you want something. Besides that, don’t bother. Your kids will see you pray when other people are watching, no need to do it with them in private.
3. Focus on your morals
Make sure you insist your kids be honest with you. Let them know it is the right thing for them to do, but then feel free to lie in your own life and disregard the need to tell them and others the truth. Get very angry with your children when they say words that are “naughty” and “bad”, but post, read, watch, and say whatever you want on TV, Facebook, and Twitter. Make sure you focus on being a good person. Be ambiguous about what this means.
4. Give financially as long as it doesn’t impede your needs
Make a big deal out of giving at church. Stress the need to your children the value of tithing, while not giving sacrificially yourself. Allow them to see you spend a ton of money on what you want, while negating your command from Scripture to give sacrificially.
5. Make church community a priority... as long as there is nothing else you want to do
Hey, you are a church going family, right? I mean, that’s what you tell your friends and family anyways. Make sure you attend on Sundays. As long as you didn’t stay up too late Saturday night. Or your family isn’t having a big barbeque. Or the big game isn’t on. Or this week you just don’t feel like it. Or... I mean, you're a church-going family, so what’s the big deal?
